Después de una pequeña pausa para justificar una redención obligada tras el descubrimiento de corrupción y racismo, la Asociación de prensa extranjera en Hollywood regresa con sus Globos de Oro donde prueban ser un pequeño sistema de medición para el Oscar.

Disculpen si se oye algo desmotivado o enfadado mi primer párrafo pero la HFPA jamás ha sido motivo de emoción y tras meterme de lleno en su historia soy de los que considera que no hay razón para hacerlos tan grandes, no delimitan a los posibles candidatos al Oscar ni dan un verdadero conocimiento de quienes podrían ganar la codiciada estatuilla.

Este año se han ido más con la corriente pues 2022 será recordado como «el regreso a la normalidad» por más que los estudios no quieran admitirlo, y eso quiere decir que tanto favoritos de la audiencia como las películas y series amadas por los críticos han acaparado esta lista.

Lo primero que brinca es algo que la HFPA pretendía evitar, pero aquí estamos de nuevo, y es que ninguna película dirigida por mujeres fue nominada como Mejor Director, siendo un año en el que Charlotte Wells está dominando los premios especiales por su ópera prima AFTERSUN y que las quinielas de director no tienen un favorito hasta el momento, es rarísimo que no le hayan dado su respectiva nominación, algo que esperemos sea corregido por la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas.

Martin McDonagh regresó a la pantalla grande para volver a dominar las premiaciones y los Globos de Oro no son la excepción pues sus BANSHEES OF INISHERIN acumularon la mayor cantidad de nominaciones esta mañana (8) mientras que la adorada de este año, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE le siguió con seis.
